Feel the Music
Background: More than 70 million people are deaf, which means to enjoy music, it has to be in ways other than through sound. Therefore, people who are deaf depend on concert because of the vibrations that come through at such volumes, allowing them to feel what others hear. However, this deprives them of the freedom to enjoy music whenever they want.
Idea: Spotify presents “Feel the Music”, a feature that allows people who are deaf to experience Spotify’s entire music library through vibrations, using haptic technology. Supported by the haptic feedback function found in almost all smartphones and smartwatches, AI can convert any song’s audio waveforms to haptic waveforms.
